OVEN BAKED BBQ RIBS๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹

Ingredients:

For the Ribs:

2 racks of pork baby back ribs

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Dry Rub:

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon smoked paprika (optional)

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 teaspoon mustard powder

For the BBQ Sauce:

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare the Ribs:

Preheat your oven to 300ยฐF (150ยฐC).

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by slipping a knife under it and pulling it off. This will help the ribs become more tender.

Apply the Dry Rub:

In a small bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients together until well combined.

Rub the olive oil all over the ribs to help the seasoning stick.

Generously sprinkle the dry rub over both sides of the ribs, rubbing it in well.

Bake the Ribs:

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil to create a sealed packet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is pulling away from the bones.

Prepare the BBQ Sauce:

While the ribs are baking, combine all the BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.

Finish the Ribs:

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the top piece of foil.

Increase the oven temperature to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).

Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on both sides of the ribs.

Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

Serve:

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before cutting into individual ribs.

Serve the ribs with extra BBQ sauce on the side, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious, tender, and flavorful oven-baked BBQ ribs!
